Michael recently had the privilege of visiting Ferny Grove State High School to deliver an engaging one-hour presentation to approximately 50 students about technology and the wide range of careers available in the ICT industry.



He began by sharing his own journey into technology, highlighting that a technology-rich upbringing is not a prerequisite for success in the ICT field. Michael then took students through the evolution of technology over the past three decades, showcasing how rapidly innovation is accelerating and the exciting opportunities this creates for the next generation.



The presentation explored the many different roles within the ICT industry, giving students insight into the variety of career paths available to them after high school. Michael explained what different technology roles involve and what a typical day in those careers can look like, helping students better understand the possibilities within the sector.



Following the presentation, Michael was presented with a thank-you gift from the school in appreciation of his time. Many students chose to stay afterwards to ask questions, chat with him about their interests, and learn more about potential pathways into the IT industry. The strong engagement and thoughtful questions from students highlighted a growing curiosity about technology careers and the exciting opportunities that the ICT industry offers.
